A trip to doggy jail averted… thank goodness! July 28, 2008

Jordan and Gem got out of their yard. From the looks of it, our little group of gang wanna-be’s are back in action and they purposely let the dogs out. No way the dogs could have manipulated that lock and opened that gate by themsleves. Anyway, our ever friendly mail carrier was the one who let Mom know they were out and which way they went. So Mom and I jump in the car and start cruising… After about 20 minutes, we spot the animal control truck parked on the side of the road. We stop but I don’t see the driver any where. And then, I hear a very familiar bark– Jordan! And there they are– the animal control officer has them. And wow are they ever glad to see Mom! Gem flips right over so Mom can scratch her belly and Jordan is all over her trying to give her kisses! The animal control officer was waiting for another truck because hers was full and just as we get them loaded into my Mom’s car, the second animal control truck comes around the corner. If Mom hadn’t of seen the first truck when she did, it would have been too late– JBV would have had to go downtown and pay some fines to bail them out of doggy jail.

But everyone’s home safe and sound and dear Bridget slept through the entire thing!  🙂
