Good visit! July 2, 2008

RP is one of my favorite nursing homes. I go every Wednesday. Or try to anyway. πŸ™‚ I’ve been going there for almost four years now, so I have some folks there I’ve known from my Day One. Today I got to meet two new residents and I’ll try to help Mom remember where their rooms are so we can visit them again. Most of the staff at RP call me by name and just about everyone I pass in the hallway wants to pet my head or scratch my butt. I love butt scratches! πŸ™‚ Of course, there are those who shy away from me. But that’s okay. I understand not everyone likes dogs, or even feels comfortable around dogs. Some staff members enjoy seeing me so much they carry Mom-approved treats in their pockets for me!Β  I’m only allowed one treat and I have to earn it– usually by shaking hands.

Well, if you’ll excuse me now, I must go get Mom so I can take a walk. My yard’s not fenced so if I want to go out, Mom has to go with me. πŸ™‚
